I hated to see his leave when he chose to go to school down south, however I hated it even more now that it was the holidays and I knew he wasn’t going to be around. To our surprise, our brother showed up on Christmas Eve to spend Christmas with us. I was listening to Christmas carols on the radio, and I was listening to the song that was saying it’s the most wonderful time of the year, when our brother walked into the dining room. She laughed and gave me a hug. The most wonderful time of the year, if you live in the South, is what he said. I told his that both of us had a brand-new oil furnace, and the heating was excellent, as long as he didn’t go outside playing in the snow. She told me that he number one to be in the South and have his a/c running instead of being up north and listening to the oil furnace rattle all night long. I had to laugh, because he was right about oil furnace rattling, however it wasn’t as exhausting as he made it sound. I told his he just had to get used to the sound, and love Christmas. She was here to stay for at least a week.Before he made his comment about the a/c, I was hoping he would tell us that after his first year of work he would be coming condo to stay. I feel he has already made up his mind that he easily does want to live down south.
