Radiant heating in our home

I honestly plan to redo the floors in my new household & when that happens, I am getting radiant heating. My partner prefers the idea of all the flooring in my new household being the same! She wants the residing room, family room, hallway & bedrooms all to be the same porcelain, grey tile! I am not too keen on this particular idea, however she wants it & is willing to pay for it. I did some research online & tile actually is the best type of flooring for radiant heating. Carpet traps the heat & makes it not nearly as effective, and wood flooring is honestly better, however not amazing for this furnace. The only way to get radiant heating is to rip up the new flooring & update it with everything new! We are already doing that! It feels sort of like fate is telling me I must have this furnace, since my partner is footing the tile bill, I am willing to do the heating installation bill. I did some hunting online recently & I can buy the electric heated mats at my local hardware store rather than a Heating & A/C device dealer. I also don’t need to hire a Heating & A/C professional to do the installation either, and apparently if you chose to do hydronic heating, which requires piping & a boiler, you need a Heating & A/C device worker, but electric radiant flooring is basically just placing mats down on the floorboard before the tile is laid. I watched some youtube videos & it looks easy. My partner told me all that work is on me. If we tile over the mats & they don’t work, that will be my fault altogether. So no pressure or anything!
