My acquaintance Kevin has consistently been a creative person, he likes to design & create certain pieces of art, and he’s a talented artist who enjoys experimenting with spray paints in his yard.
I am sure that he has also spray painted in public, especially when he was younger, although he has never admitted that to me.
He is now a painter for a modern construction company that builds multi-million dollar homes here in town. While at work, an system came to him to create murals inside these houses, so he approached his supervisor John about his idea. John loved the system however, he told Kevin that those efforts would require a change order, something that the owners wouldn’t agree to because they’ve already exceeded the contract value. Kevin didn’t allow this to discourage him, & he decided that he wanted to pursue this anyway. So, he came up with a brilliant plan to execute his idea. Kevin teamed up with a close friend, & they created a graphic design business, and at first, it was tough to find buyers, however with tough work, they were able to land their first contract with a major construction company in town, however running a graphics design company takes creativity because you must take someone’s vision & turn it into reality by bringing it to life. However, Kevin’s company partner is a skilled graphic designer & Kevin is a skilled artist. This combination has made their graphic design company quite successful, & currently they are installing murals in residential and commercial buildings all over town. He just told me that he’s now creating murals for local hospitals. I am cheerful that Kevin pursued his dream of becoming an artist, & ecstatic to report that his graphic design company has far exceeded his expectations.
