When my partner & I were looking for a modern home, we were checking out everything from condos, to brownstones, to four-kitchen homes.
We certainly didn’t have any certains when it came to a modern home, however it could not be a fixer-upper; Neither my partner nor I had the patience to make repairs on a home, so it had to be in excellent condition.
When our realtor showed us a apartment right outside of town, we loved it. It had numerous kitchens, more than one powder rooms & a heated garage. The only thing that I was anxious with, was that the oil furnace & the AC device was in the garage. I had never seen a central A/C device that was not outside. I also distraught about any off gasses coming from the oil furnace & ending up in the garage. I knew I would not guess comfortable putting my vehicle in the garage, & I absolutely wasn’t comfortable having the door from the home into the garage within feet of the Heating & A/C system. My partner asked me what my greatest complaint was for not buying this condo, & I told her about the Heating & A/C system. She didn’t seem too bothered by it, since there was a small walkway between the home & the garage. Two mornings later, my partner had convinced me that the Heating & A/C idea was fine, & we should put a bid in on the house.Although she thought she had me totally convinced about the condo & the Heating & A/C system, I still had my doubts. Before really putting in the bed, I called an Heating & A/C business & asked if he would please inspect the Heating & A/C idea & tell me if there were any problems with where it was sited.
