Air conditioner concerns caused by HVAC duct

I had some complaints with the performance of my air conditioner last summer; Since the cooling system is only many years old, I was especially distraught and unhappy.

There was a noticeable difference in room temperature from one room to another.

The air conditioner ran consistently and yet the new home felt hot and muggy on especially hot afternoons. There was a significant amount of dust floating in the air and a musty stink; My electric bill was quite a bit higher than expected. When I researched my list of complications, I l earned that the source of the many concerns was most likely the HVAC duct. I learn that if registers are not sealed properly, air can be distributed to areas where it’s not supposed to go. Not only does this cause the component to work much harder to combat the temperature swings, however it puts added wear on components, increasing the chance of malfunction and changing lifespan. The complications with the registers can also allow pests to get inside and create further destruction. Another possible concern is dirty HVAC ducts! Dust, dander, pollen, decomposing rodents, bugs and all sorts of disgusting things can be concealed inside the pipes, clogging the pathway. Because the cool air is blocked from reaching the multiple rooms, comfort is disadvantagely impacted. I had noticed that the dirty air was irritating my pollen irritations. My adolescents were continually sneezing and coughing and my partner complained of headaches. Every time the air conditioner started up, it was spreading harmful toxins throughout the breathing air. When I had a licensed Heating and Air Conditioning specialist take a look at the duct system, he suggested both cleaning and sealing! He pinpointed leaks at the seams that were allowing the conditioned air to escape. Although the multiple duct services were plenty fancy, they made an immediate improvement in the operation of the air conditioner.
