A bit more zen about the heat and air conditioning

Instead of staying inside the central air conditioning and running up giant bills, I wanted to find a middle path

I think one of the reasons I moved to this place was because each time I visited it, I felt as though I was just way more relaxed and easy with life. And that’s really the way I wanted to live my life. I grew weary of all the drama and stress that my life had way too much of. Plus, I was just so totally over the sort of winter that needed a gas furnace and seemed to last half the year. The idea of moving to where I vacationed was so intriguing but was it really possible? That led me to embrace change and possibility. And sure enough, I found a job very similar to mine inside the zone controlled HVAC comfort of a different company. So I went for it and my life has changed for the better. Indeed, I’ve embraced the vibe around here and learned how to simplify my life while going with the flow a bit more. It’s been three years now and this spring, I decided to take my acceptance and go with the flow attitude to the air conditioning. Instead of staying inside the central air conditioning and running up giant bills, I wanted to find a middle path. On the suggestion of a local native, I decided to just embrace the heat this spring and not retreat immediately into the central air conditioning of my home. That meant that I left the air conditioning off until mid May and then, I never keep the thermostat more than 15 degrees cooler than the outside temperature.
