HVAC contractor was integral to new home build

My wife and I had never built a custom home before.

  • So we really had no idea what to expect.

Of course, we heard all the warnings and the nightmare stories from colleagues and friends when it came to building a house. The first thing we had to do was cash in on our old house. That required some stuff like upgrading the HVAC equipment. We put the latest in residential HVAC into that place along with all the HVAC technology that comes with it these days. It was great in a couple of ways because that new residential HVAC really helped the house sell for a bundle. And it gave us a bit of a primer when it came to heating and cooling choices that we wanted to make for our new home. That was a good thing because with all the evolution in HVAC technology, we wanted the best quality heating and air we could find. The general contractor we hired was great and he was open to us selecting some of the subs. That’s something we were determined to do. We didn’t want this house to be slapped together while we weren’t paying attention. So vetting the HVAC contractor was a big deal because we chose to go with the geothermal heat pump. And that takes a certain kind of HVAC professional. It took us a minute to find the right guy but we did. The installation was key and we both sort of worried because it has to be precise. However, the HVAC contractor did a magnificent job and the geo heat pump is the best quality heating and air we’ve ever enjoyed anywhere we’ve ever lived.
