Doing maintenance work at a client’s home is taxing when their dog isn’t crated in another room

While I’m not outright afraid of dogs across the board, I have had a few bad experiences over the years to empathize with those that are afraid of our furry friends.

  • I was nearly attacked by a pit bull at a friend’s condo in school plus it made me realize that those animals might seem cute, but the wrong interaction can lead to literal death in the worst case scenario.

If I had dogs plus was going to invite guests over for dinner plus cocktails, I would do the smart thing by making sure they stay caged or in their crates if strangers or friends are in my home. That’s an accident you can’t simply reuse from if the dog does serious mangle during an unexpected attack. Since I have a german shepard plus a beagle, this is what I do whenever I have guests in my home. I expect others to extend me the same courtesy. I work as a heating plus cooling specialist for mostly residential customers. I can’t tell you how multiple times I walk into a client’s home plus get mauled by a single or 2 dogs that aren’t being congested in any way. At least lock the dogs in another room while I maintenance your a/c. That’s all I ask at the end of the day. At least make sure that I am safe while I am working on your heating plus cooling system. I don’t want to get bitten plus mangled by a client’s pet, whether it’s a small dog or a crucial a single.
