My dog is 1 of the laziest pets I’ve ever known. We named him Syd as a homage to both the famous founder of Pink Floyd and the sloth from the movie Ice Age. Despite his laziness, he’s the sweetest dog ever and prefers to cuddle and be pet by anyone who’s willing. He usually hops into our bed and sleeps next to our feet at night. I assume blessed to have such a passionate pet in the house, but he’s not perfect by any stretch of the imagination either. Syd has a habit of kneeling underneath the kitchen table begging for food while the two of us eat our meals. In the beginning the two of us thought it was cute, but now Syd’s food begging has reached new limits. I can’t fault the dog for liking the taste of delicious food, however I can also stop encouraging him to be nearby whenever we’re eating. He also has a few harmless quirks that make us enjoy him even more. Whenever the weather is cold outside, he prefers to sleep on the floor vents for the central furnace. The warm air rises from those vents when the furnace is cycling and he is able to warm his entire body in a matter of minutes. I guess I would do the same thing with the heating plan vents if I was a dog or a cat. It would be good to have 1 of those vents underneath our bed to keep it warmer while I sleep at night. We get certainally cold weather in this region so the heating plan is a necessity to survive every year. Otherwise you could literally freeze to death.
