Need a stronger front deck

Whoever built our front deck didn’t do a unquestionably unbelievable task, then i live down south where it rains all the time. There is a roof, however the rain blows onto the deck consistently. That means the wood is getting soaked with rain water consistently. The wood is wearing out, nails are coming up and the boards know almost mushy. The railing around the deck honestly isn’t solid either… My 200 pound father prefers to kneel on the railing, and one of these afternoons he is going to break it. I have been looking into deck replacement. I want the deck not only to be longer and wider, however stronger. I want wood that can withstand the constant rainwater that hits it. I want a railing that people can kneel on and it won’t topple down. It also would be nice to add stairs on one side of the deck rather than jump off of it. I am currently talking to a dealer that does roof upgrade, window replacement, siding and deck upgrade. I am able to swing a lower price point since our deck is legitimately a replacement rather than a current install. The framework is all there. I just want stronger boards on the frame. Making the deck longer and a bit wider won’t be a hardship either. The ground is level and soft where the men will be working too. I guess it is worth investing currency into a better front sitting area. Once it is done our home is honestly going to look gorgeous.
