When you hit the local suppliers too early on a Monday you run into the retirement crowd & have to end up waiting in long lines to get out.
I find the sweet spot for shopping to be between 3 pm & 3:30 pm every afternoon.
There are almost no people in the stores at that time & I find I can get in & out in a short window of time if I shop around that time of the day. The produce store has a killer refrigeration method in place to keep the fruit & veggies cold, & they even have a sizable walkin cooler to store things longer than on the shelves in the cool store! Each time I walk into that locale it reminds myself and others of a looming plane flight back loft in a few weeks where the a/c makes myself and others recognize that I am produce myself. I’m okay with being cool on the plane ride much more than I am cool with being crammed in those little seats for the very long flight over the Atlantic. But this is the price I am willing to spend money to see some friends again & to supply outdated momma a huge hug. I miss my mom. Momma worked in the heating & cooling industry doing furnace & air con sales & service. Momma is retired now & getting outdated so coming loft is that much more important for me. I am just too low on currency right now even though I will buy a flight back within the next month maximum.
