The hotel room was very warm and totally uncomfortable

I had to stay in a hotel last week for work. The boss sent me to a training seminar and I was gone on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I decided to stay two extra days in the city, so I could go to a football game and see the museum. When I arrived at the hotel on Tuesday, I immediately checked into my room so I could get settled. I had a 6-hour drive and my legs were stiff and sore. My back was hurting too. The guy at the front desk seemed to be very nice and accommodating. He asked me if I wanted to be in a room facing the street or the woods. I honestly didn’t mind where the room was located, as long as it had heat. It was 15° outside and I was ready to check into my room so I could warm up. My room was located on the 6th floor. I grabbed all of my bags and my briefcase and I took the elevator to the 6th floor. I found my room at the end of the hall. I used my key card to open up the door. As soon as I opened the door, I felt the heat coming out of the room. The room was very hot and humid. I left the front door open for a few minutes. I let some of the air out into the hallway. The thermostat on the wall heater was set to 76°. I wanted the room to be warm, but 76° was way too hot. I turned off the heating machine for a while until the room reached a comfortable temperature.
