They stayed in a hotel for work

Ben and Jenny had to stay in a hotel for work.

Their boss sent them to a training seminar and they were gone for 5 days. Ben and Jenny decided to stay 2 extra afternoons in the city, so they could go to a football game and see the museum. When they arrived at the hotel on Monday, they instantly checked into their rooms so they could get settled. They had an 8-hour drive and their legs were stiff and sore. Ben and Jenny’s back were hurting too. The woman at the front desk seemed to be very nice and accommodating. She asked them if they wanted to be in rooms facing the street or the woods. Ben and Jenny didn’t mind where the room was located, as long as it had heat. It was 15° outside and they were ready to check into their rooms so they could warm up. Their rooms were located on the 8th floor. Ben and Jenny grabbed all of their bags and briefcases, and they took the elevator to the 8th floor. They found their room at the end of the hall. Ben and Jenny used their key cards to open up the doors. As soon as they opened the doors, they felt the heat coming out of the rooms. The rooms were very hot and humid. Ben and Jenny left the front doors open for about 10 minutes. They let some of the air out into the hallway. The thermostat on the wall oil furnace was set to 74°. They wanted the room to be warm, but 74° was way too hot. They turned off the heating unit for a while until the room reached a comfortable temperature.
