I was recently traveling in a country that did not have a lot of air conditioning available.
I mean, there was an air conditioner here and there, but at the least, there just wasn’t as much air conditioner as I was used to having.
I think we are a little spoiled in the United States when it comes to air conditioning. It is available literally everywhere. Anyway, this country was very different. I was visiting my girlfriend and we booked a hotel that was in an excellent location because there were many places to go and restaurants to eat at in the area. As a result, we either walked to most of the places we went, or we called cabs or other driver services to take us around. Walking the streets was fun and enjoyable, but there’s one thing that I truly came to appreciate and that’s the air conditioner in the cabs and the cars when we ended up getting transport. These drivers really knew how to treat their customers, considering that every last vehicle that we used had an amazing air conditioner that felt so good in contrast to the heat and humidity outside! This was a tropical country after all, so if there was any part of the world that needed air conditioning, it was here. Well, at least our hotel room had an air conditioner and it was admittedly quite powerful. It just took a while to crank up and cool the whole room down. Strangely, the only other place that had an air conditioner in the hotel was the lobby. It was strange walking through the halls and using the elevator with no A/C at all. Anyway, it made me all the more appreciative of the air conditioner that I was able to get!
