Back when I was in high school, they couldn’t get the heating to shut off in the spring whenever the weather started warming up.
It was the same thing every year.
I don’t know why in the world they couldn’t get everything fixed up the way that it should have been, but it was always a problem at the school. We had so many problems that people started to talk about the school board funneling money away from the schools so that they could have pay raises instead of using the money for the repairs that they were supposed to make. It was super annoying, and I remember thinking that I would just die from heat exhaustion during class in the spring. It was a rough time to be in school, that’s for sure. I mean, the climate here is pretty warm most of the time anyway, so there’s really no reason for us to have the heating turned on in the spring. We barely ever needed the furnace anytime after the Christmas break, anyway. So I don’t know what the issue was with the furnace staying on for so long. It was so bad that some of the students refused to even come to school during the spring. I think it’s funny because that was the only place that I ever heard of where people would skip school because of the heating and cooling system in the school. I personally think that there should have been an investigation into all of the extra funds that the school board got. At least that way, we could have actually gotten some answers.
