One of our local HVAC companies held a raffle as a fundraiser last month and my sister ended up winning the grand prize.
I couldn’t believe that she had won when she called me up to tell me the news.
Our family is notoriously bad at winning things, that’s for sure. I can count on one hand the times that any of us have ever won anything like that in the past fifty years. Anyway, she somehow managed to win the grand prize that the HVAC company was sponsoring and it was perfect timing for her. She was in need of a new furnace for her house anyway, and so the fact that she won this raffle prize meant that she was going to be able to spend all of the money that she had saved for her new HVAC system on something else. As you can probably imagine, she was beyond excited at the fact that she was going to have all of this extra money. The HVAC company that was sponsoring the raffle even came out to install the HVAC unit for her. I was really happy for her because if anyone needed a new HVAC system and better indoor air quality, it was my sister. I do have to say that I am just a little bit jealous of her, though. I wish that I could win something like that. Maybe this year, I will enter the raffle that the HVAC company hosts. It would be so cool if I could end up winning a brand new heating and cooling system too!
