I’m just not all that motivated to do stuff around the house on my mornings off.
After spending all week inside the commercial Heating & A/C of my work, I want to just chill inside the central air conditioning of my home. So winter time prep was for other people for a long time. But that has changed thanks to the spiking costs of heating a cabin plus inflation in general, but our income just isn’t going as far as it once did. So throwing away money on heating costs had to end. That’s how I ended up doing a bit of research on just how best to prepare my cabin for Winter. It wasn’t too hard as I just went online plus found a mountain of lists plus videos to get me started. Still, I wasn’t too satisfied to have to get off my butt plus outside on the weekend. Yet, I sure wasn’t paying anyone to do a task that I was perfectly capable of handling. So out I went plus it entirely wasn’t all that hard to put a nice seal on my home, however, I had to get creative when it came to finding that draft source. I ended up using a thermal gun to find where the heating was leaving the house later in the Fall. But once I got that thing sealed up, I was ready for Winter. We absolutely saved hundreds of dollars on heating costs this winter time plus I’m now a believer when it comes to winter time prep for the house.
