I didn’t have the typical air conditioning unit.
Most people have an AC unit in the backyard, but that isn’t where mine is.
My air conditioning unit is in the garage along with my furnace. The garage is an extension of the house, and there is just a door separating the garage from the kitchen. I wondered why there were two doors in my kitchen when I first looked at the house. The realtor showed me, and I thought it was a good idea. I never had to walk out into the weather to get to my car. I loved having everything I needed right there. When I was looking in the garage, I didn’t know the HVAC system was out there. It wasn’t until I asked where the HVAC system was that she took me back into the garage. It was hidden behind a false wall, so no one could see it when working on a car, or parking. I thought it was a good place to put the HVAC system since there wasn’t a backyard or a basement. When my sister came to visit after I moved into the house, she asked me where the air conditioning unit was. I told her I would show it to her and headed to the garage. She grabbed my arm and asked if we had to go for a ride. I told her I was going to show her where the air conditioning unit was. We walked into the garage and I showed her the entire HVAC system. She got laughing so hard, she was crying. She said that was a unique place to put an HVAC system, but if it worked; who cares.
