It was hard installing my first window air conditioner

I hate to admit that I have a habit of leaving Pizza out overnight after I order it for dinner.

I’ll then pull a slice out of the box after I get up in the morning and eat it cold.

Honestly, I’m lucky I haven’t gotten food poisoning yet. There are all sorts of meat products that will grow bacteria if they’re left to sit out like a petri dish overnight. But it’s a stupid habit I picked up when I was living in a fraternity house for 2 years in my college days. I’m still learning a lot of things for the first time now that I’m on my own and living in a house that I purchased with my own money. My parents both passed away a few years ago so I don’t have anybody to turn to for help when I need to do something like install a window air conditioner for the first time. Window air conditioners look easy to install, but that depends on what kind of window you have. There are some windows with really heavy sliding mechanisms that will keep the window air conditioner in place and snug. And there are other windows that are really lightweight and weak and the window air conditioner will want to fall out onto the ground down below. It was a lot harder than I expected installing my first ever window air conditioner alone. If I ever had to do it again I think I would call a heating and cooling technician to help me out with the process. I had to buy foam insulation to go around the sides of the window air conditioner too so it would prevent air from leaking in or out.
