Large home automation system is perfect

It is amazing how much I save by not providing heating and lights to the unused bed and bathrooms

My husband and I splurged and bought a huge house on the water. It has multiple stories and so many beds and bathrooms. We are just two people so it is a bit daunting. I have done everything I can to keep things streamlined and easy. I have a maid, lawn service, pool guy, and a boat guy. This keeps me doing what I would prefer to do rather than home tasks. I also invested in a building automation system. I am able to control everything in a single hub. First, when you live in a fancy house like mine you need security. My cameras, automated outdoor lighting, surveillance, and door and windows locks are all connected together. When someone approaches the door, the lights turn on and cameras are rolling. If you don’t use the right code or break a door lock, the police are notified. For inside I am able to save quite a bit of money with integrated HVAC control. I have it that the HVAC is zone control capable. So you aren’t getting any HVAC unless you are in the room. My office powers on the AC when it senses me and the lights turn on. When I leave everything powers down. I find that I stick to one area of the house quite a bit and don’t venture in the others ever. It is amazing how much I save by not providing heating and lights to the unused bed and bathrooms. For larger homes I don’t know how people get by without automation. It is the way of the future.
