I think it was the indoor air, not the outdoor air

It was many years later when I hired my own heating, cooling, and air quality control technician that I finally learned about HVAC maintenance

When I was younger I was never allowed to do anything. People my age were out, experiencing life and having a great time. Meanwhile, I was continually ill. No matter what I tried to do, it was likely that I was going to wind up feeling too under the weather to participate in the end. It was many long, boring years of being alone and staying indoors as my mother watched over me. It didn’t help that she was extremely overly protective of her baby, after all of my illnesses. I found that I wasn’t able to live life the way that I wanted. Unfortunately, it seemed like my time spent in bed indoors actually made me more sick when I was trying to avoid the allergens and airborne contaminants that were causing so many respiratory troubles for me. My mother took me to every doctor, but none of the prescription or over the counter allergy medications made any difference. They just kept telling me to stay within the safety of my indoor heating, cooling, and air quality control equipment, where the outdoor allergens couldn’t affect me. Little did we know, the indoor air quality control system was the culprit behind all of my respiratory sensitivities, afterall. It was many years later when I hired my own heating, cooling, and air quality control technician that I finally learned about HVAC maintenance. That’s when I tried HEPA air filters and professional duct cleaning for the first time, and my allergies completely cleared up. It turns out, I was never allergic to the outdoor air, I was allergic to our HVAC system all along.
