Not especially cheerful living in the North plus cost of heating

When I was provided a job promotion that required me to transport up north, I was thrilled about the move.

Since I’d consistently lived in the Deep South, I looked forward to a massive change in scenery plus weather.

I’d never seen snow, however it certainly looked lovely in motion pictures. I couldn’t wait to buy fuzzy sweaters, cute boots plus mittens. I had no clue what I was getting myself into though… The fall weather was attractive with crisp temperatures plus colorful leaves. I happily spent a fortune on new clothes plus my heating bills. I was totally unprepared for the reality of a winter season in the North. The temperature abruptly plummeted to only a few degrees plus two feet of snow had accumulated in a single night. I hastily came to realize that snow is wet plus frigid plus awful. I had to go out plus purchase a snow shovel, ice scraper plus rock salt. It took me over half an hour just to dig out plus warm up my car before I could go anywhere. I had to hire someone to plow my driveway, plus I got wet feet every single time I got the mail. I kept setting the temperature control component a little higher every night plus I still woke up entirely freezing. When I got my heating bill, I just about cried because it was so pricey. I figured there was something wrong with the gas furnace. I hired an HVAC professional for repair, plus she found no actual problems other than a slightly blocked air filter. She made the suggestion that I buy a humidifier to improve comfort. I wasn’t real eager to spend even more money on temperature control. I only ended up living in the North for a single year. The frigid weather was too much for me. I took a pay cut plus headed back south where I could enjoy the high temperatures plus air conditioner device.
