I have lived without an a/c for too long.
I am a cheapskate, plus I do not care about spending money on things that I don’t know are necessary.
I know that air conditioning is not necessary, but I have been covered in sweat at night, plus I have had trouble sleeping because it is so hot in my study room. I live in a particularly tiny apartment, so I know that if I obtained just one a/c, it would cool my entire house. I have a friend who lives in an beach house about the size of mine, plus she has just one little window unit that cools her entire site, so I have hopes that one a/c will be good for myself and others as well. I do not want to spend the money on a new a/c though, so I am looking for a used one. It is garage saling season here, so I am hoping to find an a/c at a garage sale. I have been to so various garage sales already, plus I have not seen one a/c. I did find a couple online, but they were all about an hour or more from my house, plus I do not want to have to drive that far to pick one up if I don’t have to. If I don’t find one in the next month or so, I know I will just have to drive to one of those sites I found on the internet plus get a used a/c. It will still be cheaper than buying a brand new one, so I will be saving money either way.
