Found out my husband is allergic to stings

I was worried about my husband.

Yesterday he was walking in from the parking lot and he got stung by a yellow jacket.

He said the yellow jacket just landed on his hand and stung him for no reason whatsoever. Now his hand got super swollen. He said it didn’t hurt too bad but it looked really bad. I kept watching him and making sure he didn’t get a severe allergic reaction to the yellow jacket sting. He never had any trouble breathing or anything but the next morning his hand was still super swollen so I took him to the doctor. The doctor prescribed some antihistamine and told us that my husband is likely allergic to bees and wasps and yellow jackets. So now he has to carry around an injection just in case he ever has a really bad reaction to a sting. As we were coming back into the house, after our appointment, I noticed that there is a huge yellow jacket hive in the parking lot just above the area where we park our car. My husband wants to go get some wasp spray, wait until it is dark, and kill the yellow jackets himself. I think that is a terrible idea and very dangerous. He could die if he gets stung again. I am not brave enough to do it myself either. So I just hired a yellow jacket exterminator to take care of it for us. The exterminator will arrive tomorrow and put an end to those yellow jackets. That takes a bit of worry off of my mind. Now my husband won’t get stung again.
