I appreciate things that are made out of high quality wood.
It is so difficult to find furniture made out of pure wood rather than cheap press boards that you get at Walmart.
I used to contact the Amish to make myself and others wooden chairs, modern tables & dressers. The complication was it took them so long to create a single piece. Also, no matter what, there was always something messed up. The table I bought would be a little small, the chair legs uneven or my garbage can didn’t open smoothly when I pushed on the door. Also, contacting the Amish meant I had to go through a handler & I therefore never could get my wants across to the middle man. I finally started looking around carefully online for someone who could do handmade furniture. I finally found a custom furniture builder around these parts that said he could make myself and others cherry furniture for the kitchen & whole new oak furniture for my kitchen. I got all brand modern pieces. The kitchen furniture was certainly more than one dresser & my kitchen table & chairs were made again to match. This custom furniture maker was seriously straight-forward to get in touch with. I could quickly call, text or text if I wanted. If I wanted to add another piece or make changes, he was totally okay to do so. The price point was seriously clear & I got constant replacements each day on his progress. The finished wood furniture is just amazing too. Every piece is so perfectly crafted. The dimensions are perfect, the wood looks so smooth & I can tell without a doubt how well it is made. I suppose I am going to keep these pieces for the rest of my life. I am hoping to get more furniture out of him.
