My cousin Brittany has three little pugs that are spoiled absolutely rotten.
She treats them like they are her children and I think that they have better lives than most of the people that I know around here.
She doesn’t really ever think that she’s doing anything wrong, and I guess it’s her life and she can treat her dogs however she wants to. However, I think that she acts ridiculous when it comes to these dogs! She buys them all kinds of special foods and treats, and I don’t just mean dog food. Half the time, she buys them steaks and hamburgers! And the other crazy thing that she has started doing is keeping the thermostat settings at the temperatures that she thinks the dogs like. She doesn’t seem to care one little bit about whether she or her husband is comfortable or not. She just wants to make sure that the air conditioning is set at the right temperature for the dogs’ comfort during the summer. I remember once this past summer when she and I were going to go to the beach for the day and I went to pick her up. She had to run back inside before we left to make sure that the A/C was turned down far enough for her furry babies. She said that she was afraid that they might get too hot during the afternoon while we were gone, even though the A/C was already running. I think it’s a little bit crazy, to tell you the truth. I love dogs and everything, but I don’t think I would ever set the thermostat in my house to dog specifications.
