I have been collecting comic books since I was very young.

I still have that Superman comic book in a plastic sleeve. Every year for my birthday, my grandfather would buy me another comic book. When I had a paper route of my own, I used some of the money to buy comic books. By the time I went to college, I had a significant collection of rare books. I put everything in storage when I was in college. When I was finished with five years of school, I went back to the storage unit to get my things. I realized that some of the comic books had been damaged from heat and humidity. I quickly realized that I needed to buy a dehumidifier for my apartment in order to keep the comic book safe. I found a small dehumidifier at the hardware store. The guy told me to put the comic books in a closet and place the dehumidifier in there as well. The guy in the hardware store told me that the dehumidifier would work well as long as I made sure to empty the water once a month. All of my comic books are now safe from mildew and humidity and mold. The pages are crisp and fresh. Some of my books are genuinely worth a lot of money, but some of them are more sentimental in value. I don’t want anything to ruin these memories that I cherish. Thankfully, the dehumidifier works great and helps keep moisture droplets out of the area.
