The lady in charge turned down the heat

I was agitated and very upset, so I demanded to talk to the lady in charge

My wife started a new job last week and we decided to move the kids to a different daycare. The old daycare was on her way to the old job, but now it is 30 minutes out of the way. We moved the kids to a daycare that was closer to our home, so either one of us could drop off the kids in the morning. The weather has been getting colder and colder, and there has been ice and frost on the ground several mornings this week. When we got the kids ready on Tuesday, we decided to put hats and mittens on both of them. My wife dropped them off at daycare. She said it was very warm in the building so she took off the kids jackets, hats, and mittens. She talked to the lady in charge about a few things and then she left to go to work. I picked up the kids later that afternoon, because I was the first one to finish for the day. When I picked up the kids from the daycare, the heater was definitely not on. It was very cold inside of the building and both of my kids were shivering. Their teeth were chattering because they were so cold. The lady in charge must have turned down the heat or turned it off completely. I was agitated and very upset, so I demanded to talk to the lady in charge. She told me that the heat was only off for a few minutes, because they were working on a heating issue in the basement. To be honest, I don’t know if she was telling the truth or not. It was awfully cold in the building.
