My friends and I decided to go to the lake for a couple of days during spring break.
I thought we were going to have a great time.
One of my friends had a parent with a lake house and we were going to have the entire place all to ourselves. John didn’t tell us that his parents were going to be there as well. He led us all to believe that it was going to be a party with just college students. My friends and I were awfully surprised when we arrived at the lake house and found John’s mom and dad and a couple of their adult friends as well. John told us that we were going to have the entire basement which was a pretty nice place. The area had a pool table and a dartboard and plenty of places for us to sleep. The area even had a separate door with a key. Things were not as bad as I thought they would be until we were stuck without any AC for 2 days. Sometime on Monday night, the AC stopped working. I woke up John at 2 and I think he woke up his parents. I know they called for an AC repair guy, but we were way out on the lake and no one could come help until Wednesday. We were stuck without any AC for two days while we waited for the AC repair guy to arrive. Everyone thought going to the lake house was going to be a wonderful adventure, but it was filled with a lot of awful surprises.
