I think it has been a couple of years since I cleaned my ductwork and it is beginning to show in the vents now.
I see dust on the grill of the vent covers and it is time to schedule a cleaning. The local contractor down the street does cleaning for a good price so I’ll just give them a call and set something up. I was going to do it myself but I want to be easy on my shoulders for another couple of months until they heal up again. I do clean my washable filter every other month so that helps but when the ducts are dirty it still blows dust though the vents, I can tell because I have a lot of allergies now and am very allergic to dust. I have an air purifier in my office which keeps it nice and clean in there but the rest of the house gets quite dusty. I know because I can see dust on all of the flat surfaces of the house as I am always cleaning them every few days. I would also like to buy a new smart thermostat and will go down to the HVAC supplier today to see if they have any in stock that I like. I have an old one now which is not working so well so it is time to replace it. I think I can buy a new smart thermostat for under $200 and it would save me a lot of time from not having to adjust it all of the time.
