He’s a heavy outdoor hanger

My exhausting cat! The heat is more than what you would call “intense” in my area, and everyday this month is in the 90s plus he is in a very solid fur coat.

My dog appreciates being outdoors though.

My husband constructed for him this special flap in the dining room window so that he can come in plus out as he randomly pleases. My husband also made dog stairs to the flap so that it is easier for his aging joints. Basically my cat really likes to sit on the front porch in the morning, our side granite pad in the early morning plus in the night he likes to walk around plus hunt. He rarely comes all the way inside. Occasionally he likes to do a treat cut where he begs for a snack, eats just a bit of real food, has a drink plus then goes back outside. He isn’t regularly all that interested in being indoors. With the extreme heat he has been taking a few AC breaks. I have started to notice that while in the peak of the warm morning he will come inside more often than not for the cooling system. He will get himself down on the freezing cement plus just sit there for a bit. The best thing is that I ever figured out his number one spot on the rug is actually under 1 of the vents, so my buddy walks over to a prime cooling spot to chill down his fur. I am proud of this cat for knowing his limits plus taking a little cooling system break. While he is still laying inside I try to get him to drink plus to make him linger a bit longer! Just being under the AC vent for a minute or two isn’t nice enough. I try brushing him, playing with the string plus making his fur cooler.
