I don’t agree with their taste

The previous homeowners of this little house really had a woodstove put into the dining room at 1 point.

  • For no reason.

A brick pad was laid down, it was vented through the wood ceiling plus they even had a stack on the roof. It was a fully operational gas furnace. However.. .then the homeowners never used it for heating, merely decoration. The old school system was washed as a whistle all throughout it. I also contacted a local HVAC company to see if they wanted the oil furnace plus they promptly informed me it wasn’t large enough to heat a house. It was more similar to a hunting shack heater. Who would put in such an invasive decorative piece plus waste tons of cash making it operational? I ripped it out of my lake house first thing. I actually hated that I didn’t have a spot to put the TV due to the woodstove. I despised the brick pad plus the look of the heater. I sold the gas furnace, then had a whole mess of stuff to do to wash up the previous heating installation myself. I had to sledgehammer the brick out plus redo the flooring. I had to personally remove the vent plus patch my wood ceiling. I then needed to get professional roofers in to remove the stack on the roof plus patch it. It was costly, excruciating plus time consuming to change the HVAC system. All of that was to just remove a gas furnace that didn’t matter. I can’t believe it was displayed in most pictures online. The homeowners were proud of what I hate the most.
