Cautious normalcy in a time of pandemic

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! I actually don’t know anyone personally that has gotten the virus, so I think my local area might have dodged the bullet.

  • That said, I still want to be as cautious as a can in the near future, because you never know when another wave of sickness will hit.

I can’t just hide out forever, I need to get on with my life, so for now it is about striking the right balance of cautious normalcy. You like the expression? I just made it up, I like to say it to my HVAC clients, and they seem to like it too. Let’s get back to some semblance of life but be smart about it, which for me means handling major heating and cooling problems for my long standing customers. When I first opened my doors I started a loyalty program, so to speak, where you paid an annual fee and got a certain amount of HVAC work done whenever you needed. Those loyal customers helped me survive those rough few first years in the HVAC business, and now I want to honor that and give them priority service in this strange time. I contacted each of these people individually and asked how they were doing, and if their HVAC system had been working ok. I told them that the normal HVAC service inspections would resume as soon as possible, but for now I was only handling real problems. I also offered to bring new air filters by to anyone who needed them.
