There was so much happening, we forgot about the HVAC system

I had so many people at my apartment last summer.

It was my grandma’s 60th birthday and it was such a big milestone.

All of the grandkids decided to plan and throw the biggest birthday party ever. The planning started during the winter time and invitations were sent out. We wanted people to have enough notice to make travel arrangements. Since we had the biggest home, we decided to host all of the guests and stay at a motel by our house. The season for the birthday was ideal since we wanted people to relax in the sizable backyard, grill meat, and spend time at the pool. Everyone traveled down, however nobody alerted our Grandparents. My sister had given birth to a baby a few weeks back, so they thought they were coming to see the child. But granny ended up walking into her biggest surprise ever. She was so overcome with emotions and had the best birthday ever, dancing and laughing with everyone. So many people spent summer time there and went back home in the fall. We had so much to do in the fall that other things like servicing the AC plan were forgotten. It’s only after testing the AC unit before Wintertime that dad noticed there was an issue. The HVAC unit was making a horrible noise as if struggling to blow heat into the house. Dad called the HVAC company so they could send over a technician as soon as possible. A day later, the AC worker arrived and checked the whole unit. The issue was we hadn’t called them to come to clean the air filter after summer.
