Kids break everything, get service package

I really never knew how hard it was going to be when I was becoming a dad. I mean, I didn’t think it would be a walk in the park, but I also thought I had what it took to be a good provider and role model for my family. I was not exactly prepared for the tumult and destruction known as having a hoard of little boys running around your home. When I was growing up, I was the only boy… and apparently that made things a lot easier for my parents. I never once destroyed our heating system, air conditioner, programmable thermostat, or air ductwork. I was a kind, gentle, respectful young man and I don’t remember ever having any interest in the heating and cooling equipment. Flashforward to twenty years later… and I have a group of hellians ruining my indoor air quality control equipment every other tuesday. They are strangely fascinated with the smart thermostat that we installed a few years ago and never leave the indoor air handling devices alone because of it. Every day I find them fiddling with the air quality control device and I have to shoo them away before the house is suddenly heating up to 100 degrees or being cooled down to 40. I feel like I’m constantly fending off high energy bills and unnecessary wear and tear on our HVAC devices. This has gotten so ridiculous that I even took out an insurance policy on my indoor air quality control equipment, since the manufacturer warranty didn’t cover “hooligans.” My HVAC tech is at the house every other week, fixing something or another with our indoor air quality control plan. And thank god, these kids will eventually be old enough to kick out of my home.
