The holidays are almost on top of us, not that you could tell from the weather.
Some years ago I moved to the deep south section of the country, plus ever since then the winters have not been the same.
I am still adjusting to the way holidays go down around here. Namely, the fact that all of us usually spend Christmas day in shorts plus flip flops, plus sometimes all of us even go swimming or have a cookout. When I lived up north that never happened once in all our life, because all through the Winter time all of us were stuck inside next to the heater! Down here there is no need for heating, plus if anything all of us will be required to use the cooling system at some point. I never would have imagined needing to use the A/C on Christmas day, but that is what our life has come to. It was pressing to our partner, who said it was so warm that it didn’t know care about Christmas ,so I got up in the middle of the evening plus turned the control equipment as low as it would go. I closed off the air vents to every other room but the residing room, to try plus channel that cooling into a small section near the Christmas tree. When he woke up, he was so cold he wore slippers plus a robe. She had to rest under an air vent to maintain the illusion, but for an minute or more than one on Christmas day all of us pretended care about it was a good old fashioned Christmas. Then all of us made the decision to go to the beach.
