So I took a trip from Europe to the Sunshine State for three weeks and it basically is only going to cost me the plane ticket, which was not very cheap at a cost of about $1100.
But can you put a price on getting together with family and friends for the holidays? I can pay that ticket off over the next six months and it won’t cost me any extra in interest if I do so.
I make good money working for this local business doing smart thermostat sales and should be making more money when the spring comes along because a lot of people will come in to buy new HVAC technology for their HVAC systems. I think I will wait and pay about half of the ticket off in two more months and then pay off the rest just before the deadline next summer. I may not go home till the coming summer and possibly not even till next Christmas, but it really depends on how my parents are doing with their health. My mom worked for a heating and cooling supplier doing a lot of HVAC equipment sales and service over the years and now she is retired but still stays active doing all kinds of things. My stepdad on the other hand seems to have no hobbies and no friends at all, which is kind of sad because he has all the free time in the world to think about life and to feel regret for not living the life that he should have lived. Chase those dreams and face your fears and you’ll live with few regrets.
