I called the local Heating and Air Conditioning supplier last week, because I wanted my a/c component worked on, and any minor repairs necessary, done at that time, however when the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier arrived, he was one who had been to the home multiple times… I knew him well, and he and my fiance often joke around.
When he came into the home half an hour later, he told me he couldn’t repair the a/c unit, and he told me we needed a modern central A/C unit.
I started to laugh, because I was sure he was kidding. He looked serious, even though I wasn’t sure. I told him I hoped he was joking, but right now, I wasn’t sure. He explained about the problem with the a/c unit, even though I wasn’t listening. He reminded me he had told us the air conditioning component was getting old, when he did the repair last year. I listened to him talk, even though I wasn’t really hearing what he was saying, and my fiance walked in from work, and shook the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier’s hand. He sat down and asked what was wrong. He told my fiance we needed a modern a/c unit. My fiance didn’t seem surprised and asked what the harm would be. He offered us an estimate on a modern a/c component like the one we had. My fiance shrugged and told him we didn’t have a choice. He told him to put the order in and let us know when they got it in and they could have it installed. I was still waiting for one of them to tell me they were joking.
