My furnace had to be replaced before winter, and I now wanted my air conditioning unit replaced before summer began. The person I was talking to told me they would send an HVAC technician to the house to assess the situation. I didn’t want the HVAC technician to make an assessment. I wanted to have him order the HVAC system for us and have it in place before summer started. If we ordered the furnace and air conditioning unit at the same time, we could have a matching system. The HVAC technician they sent over, was a bit overwhelmed when I told him I didn’t want him to look at the HVAC system. All my husband and I wanted him to do was let us know what we needed so we could order it. He said he had to make sure it was a necessity. Necessity or not, if he wouldn’t order the HVAC system for us, we were going to call an HVAC company that would do what we asked. He measured the house to make sure we had the right sized air conditioning unit and furnace, and then he put in the order. He told us it would be delivered and installed within a week. NOw, all my husband and I had to do was wait a week and we would finally have the HVAC system we wanted for the last two years.
