Ever since she started using the central a/c this year, there has been a unusual stink coming out of the a/c vents at my mom’s house.
I go over there at least more than two or multiple times a week, so I have witnessed it myself multiple times.
She told me about the stink that was coming from the a/c vents, although she had no idea what was causing it. I did a little bit of research online to see what I could find out about stinks coming from heating and cooling vents. I looked up a website from one of the local heating and cooling dealers to see what they had to say about the issue. Most of the articles that I study said that peculiar stinks coming from the heating and cooling ducts usually have to do with something love mold or mildew growing inside the air ducts… Another option would be that somehow something love a rodent or other small critter had gotten stuck in the ventilation duct and died someplace in there. That would mean that every single time the a/c or the furnace turned on, the yucky stink would come blowing out through the air vents. That sounded disgusting to me and when I told my mom about it, she immediately called the local Heating and A/C supplier and scheduled a professional air vent cleaning for the following week. We are really hoping that once they clean the air ducts out, the unusual stink will go completely away! If it doesn’t, I don’t feel what we’re going to do.
