My electric fireplace was really acting up in recent weeks plus I was not sure what was wrong with the thing.
It was consistently making this humming noise every single time I would put it on.
I knew this was not normal as I had our electric fireplace for a few years plus never heard these sounds coming out of it before. I finally broke down plus called a fireplace repair repair to have them come plus take a look at it. It turned out that the electric fireplace was in the process of failing all together in its motherboard. And that was what the loud hum sound was all about. I had 2 choices. I could either pay the fireplace repair folks to replace the motherboard in the electrical circuits, or I could just invest in a brand modern electric fireplace. To do the motherboard replacement was going to be a few hundred dollars cheaper, so naturally I decided to go with that option. They replaced the motherboard in the electric fireplace plus it took all day to do so. But when it was done our electric fireplace was no longer making that loud hum sound plus it was even working much better plus stronger as well. This was good timing that I decided to do this with the holidays coming up in the near future. I did not want to have a broken electric fireplace because it had become a section of the whole holiday decorations around our house. So all will be well now.
