My dad has been using the same kind of air filters in his house for years and years now.
He’s one of those guys who doesn’t like change. I understand that, because I am basically the same way now that I am getting older. My dad is definitely a creature of habit, that’s for sure. I remember when I was a kid and he would be down in the furnace room in the basement working on the HVAC system. He would be doing the regular furnace and A/C maintenance and he would use these air filters with a picture of a little fairy on the logo. I guess I just remember the logo because when I was a little girl, I was obsessed with fairies. Anyway, ever since I can remember, he used these same air filters for the heating and cooling system in our house. I don’t live there anymore, but my dad still lives in the same house that I grew up in. And, wouldn’t you know it, but he still uses those same air filters with the little fairy in the logo on the box. I was over at his house a couple of weeks ago and I was helping him with the furnace maintenance. Since the weather is finally cooling down outside, he wanted to make sure that the heating system was up and ready to go for the season. I noticed the box on the air filter and I mentioned to him that it was the same kind that he always used. He said that he didn’t see any reason to switch the type of air filter he uses since it’s always done a good job for him.
