When you are a single person living in a three-bedroom house, the last thing you need is a centralized temperature control program to manage your indoor air quality. You are only one human and you do not need to pay for the expensive indoor air that will fill an entire residence. It makes more sense to invest in small air conditioning units and portable furnaces so you can modify the indoor air quality in one space at a time. In fact, my most successful indoor air temperature control experiences have surrounded the usage of window AC units, rather than large centralized cooling systems. When my friend insisted that central HVAC was safer and more financially feasible than smaller air quality control devices, I simply had to show him my energy bills to prove that window AC units are superior. Your internet research can’t disprove that.
