What is a ductless mini-split heat pump?

A ductless mini-split heat pump, also known as mini-split or zoned Heating, Ventilation and A/C, is a category of Heating, Ventilation and A/C proposal that doesn’t require ductwork to condition your indoor air.

Ductless heat pump units can be the best alternative for house renovations and add-ons that do not have an existing duct proposal in site.

When extending or installing current ducts is overly complicated or impractical, ductless mini-split heat pumps may be ideal for heating and cooling, but larger homes requiring more control over their cooling and heating may also care about the convenience and flexibility of ductless mini-split heat pumps, and by only cooling or heating the rooms in active use, you may save considerable energy and currency. With more control over your temperature levels, there will also be fewer control component wars in your home… A ductless mini-split heat pump comprises two main components, the indoor air handling component and the outdoor compressor or condenser unit. The indoor component air handler, often suspended from your ceiling or mounted high on your wall, delivers conditioned air directly into your residing space. The indoor component is affixed directly to an outdoor compressor component via a refrigerant line instead of a complicated duct system. In addition to a refrigerant line, your indoor component is also affixed to your outdoor component by a condensate drain line, suction tubing, and a power cable. The ductless mini-split heat pump includes many indoor air handling units affixed to the single outdoor unit. These many indoor units can be controlled independently, but they all use the same outdoor heat pump component to either dispense or absorb heat.
