The accident cost me thousands of dollars

Last month I was on my way home from work and a car pulled out in front of me at the very last moment.

I didn’t have time to slam on my brakes and I hit the back of the car at full impact.

I was traveling at 45 miles an hour at the time. My work truck hit the back of that car and the damage was severe. The back of the other car looked like a musical instrument and the front of my truck was dented and dinged. The driver of the other car told me that he was looking down at the AC when the accident occurred. When the police officer questioned me, I told the guy that the other driver said he was adjusting his AC control dial. The officer asked the other driver if this was true and he denied ever saying those words. I knew he wasn’t paying attention to the road when he caused the accident, but I didn’t have any proof and the guy was lying. I confronted him with the AC comment and he said I was mistaken. I got a ticket for hitting the guy. I was so ticked off at the officer. I knew it wasn’t my fault at all, but I couldn’t prove it. I’m going to be forced to pay a higher insurance fee now, and that guy will probably sue my insurance company for damages. I can’t remember a time when I was more upset. That guy has a lot of bad karma coming his way.
