I thought I was getting sick due to the heat

I hadn’t thought about how behind the scenes, the building manager would be transitioning the Heating and Air Conditioning from heating to cooling, then just the other day, it was snowing outside, so it makes sense that she left the heat on

When I was at work the other day, I was so boiling that I was perspiring just kneeling at our desk… I didn’t understand why I felt so boiling and started to wonder if I was coming down with something. I wasn’t interested in leaving the office in the middle of the day, so I kept trying to push through it. I repeatedly lowered the set point on our temperature control, even though I didn’t notice any change in the air temperature. It was especially different because the temperature control settings usually work certainly well in our office. I spent the whole day feeling uncomfortable and wondering if I was getting sick! After a few minutes of sucking it up, I got an e-mail from the building manager explaining that it was taking some time to switch the building from the heating method to the cooling system, but since it is a transition in seasons, the weather has fluctuated quite a bit these days. I hadn’t thought about how behind the scenes, the building manager would be transitioning the Heating and Air Conditioning from heating to cooling, then just the other day, it was snowing outside, so it makes sense that she left the heat on. I now understood why everytime I set the temperature control lower, the temperature simply did not budge. I am ecstatic to think that it’s an issue with the air conditioner and that I am not getting sick after all.
