My buddies told me that the month before I arrived in the states the weather was substantially much cooler. It is the middle of April now & the humidity is hitting hard. I suppose this past week the high was around 75 F & now we are hitting a high of 90 F with the heat index. I got a new rental vehicle with frigid a/c & am planning on keeping it in the shade while it is parked because it is a black vehicle & gets way too overheated in the sun. It’s a Honda Fit & the gas mileage it gets is fantastic. I suppose I get around 35 mpg in the city, with the HVAC device on high cooling, & I am only going to drive approximately 20 miles a day on average. I will only be using roughly a half gallon of gas a day, which is wonderful considering the price of gas is pushing $4 a gallon. I only have roughly $400 left in my bank which will need to last me for the next 3 weeks while I am here so I should be just fine if I shop at the appropriate stores for food. I really like having a new vehicle with the efficient new HVAC device because it really cools the vehicle down speedily, almost as soon as I start the engine. They’ve made some excellent advancements with cars & I am honestly fortunate to have rented such a great model. I am off now to the local company to purchase some new wiper blades for my mom.
