Replacing the flame sensor on our furnace

I had to purchase the exact area for our model furnace.

Last week, I performed the annual tune up on our furnace; I have been performing the furnace tune-up for the past 3 years. I watched the heating worker perform the same service for years and years. I finally decided to do the work on our own and save that money. It can be hard to perform this annual tune up on our own, because I do not have the same comprehension as a licensed and certified heating worker. I follow step-by-step directions that I found online. During the yearly furnace evaluation, I realized that one of the flame sensors was bad, and the flame sensor is an harshly important area of the furnace. It is a safety unit that helps sense the presence of flames, and when there is no flame, the flame sensor prevents any gas from entering the furnace. My furnace has an electronic ignition. The electronic ignition is used to light the burner. When I realized that I needed to substitute the flame sensor, it was due to a big crack in the porcelain. I went online to find a flame sensor that would be compatible with our furnace model. I had to purchase the exact area for our model furnace. I found an appliance parts dealer in our local town, however they wanted twice as much money as the online distributor. I decided to order the area online and wait a few days for shipment. I hate to waste money if I do not need to do that. When the flame sensor arrived a few days later, I was happy to see replacement directions inside the packaging.
