The occupants are causing destruction to the air conditioning unit

My spouse and I own an home building on the west side of town. The home building has six units, four units are on the main level of the building, and 2 units are big upstairs apartments. The more than 2 units on the main level are all equipped with a window AC unit in the study rooms. The more than 2 units situated upstairs have a central furnace and AC unit. The units situated upstairs have more than 2 study rooms, and our spouse and I knew it would be easiest to have a central furnace and AC unit installed. We have had the same occupants in one of our apartments for the past 3 years. We recently decided to raise the rent for the first time in 3 years. I expected the occupants to be aggravated, however I did not expect them to be rude and discourteous. I gained about 50 iPhone calls after I sent out the letter to all of our occupants; Some folks left messages and others called and called until I picked up the iPhone. My spouse and I did not raise the rent legitimately high. We added a 10% charge to every unit, which is going to cover the cost of an Heating & A/C service plan. We thought it would be a nice idea to have an Heating & A/C service plan for the apartments. The service plan includes a timely check up on the furnace and the a/c. We also earn 15% off all of our repairs, replacements, and troubleshooting calls. I suppose the occupants are unhappy about the swings, however they can choose to end their lease and transfer anywhere else if they like.
