I was prepared to hear him say that he forgot
Once a day we would load the dishwasher and take care of doing the dishes. I didn’t want to waste water or energy by washing the dishes a bunch of times a day. The other day I got back to the lake dwelling from work and all I could smell was burnt eggs. Instead of rinsing the dishes as they are supposed to, they just threw them into the sink. I was upset with our kids, knowing they hadn’t done their chores. I was more anxious when I began to wonder why the air purification system hadn’t cleared the horrible odor from the dwelling. In the past, the air purification system had consistently dealt with these awful odors, but not today. I contacted the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company to make an appointment. I had to take a day off work to wait for the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C appliance specialist, which still had me feeling miserable the next day. When the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C specialist showed up that day, he had a good look at the air purification system. He told myself and others that other than needing the air filter changed, there wasn’t anything actually wrong. He went ahead and evaluated the air conditioning appliance to make sure it was okay, but he said everything looked fantastic. My husband would commonly change the air filters, but he had broken his arm not too long ago. We let our fourteen-year-old child know that it was his responsibility for a couple of weeks. I was prepared to hear him say that he forgot. Instead, he completely lied and said he had just changed the air filter not so long ago. I hated thinking he had lied, but I had to admit that he really had. When I called him out about the air filter, he changed his story abruptly and told the truth.
